Water Quality and Cancer Rates
Don’t deny and deflect but research and repair
Fund research that identifies cancer types and hot spots

Iowa’s Educational Future
Restore Iowa’s standing in exemplary K-12 education
Fully fund public K-12 education
End the private school voucher program
Challenge anyone who says Iowa schools are fully funded with facts about inflation and
cost per student
Create pathways for K-12 students to universities, as well as careers, through expanded
dual credit opportunities, DOL apprenticeships and small ag training
Preserving and Growing Small Family Farms
Provide new incentives to small producers of crops and livestock that are not corn,
soybeans, cattle and hogs
Provide leadership in crop and animal diversity through programs like FFA, 4H and
emerging small farm apprenticeships
Examine the perils of consolidated and absent farm ground ownership
Enlist the help of Big Ag in growing small ag opportunities
Affordability and Taxes
Strike down legislation that benefits high wealth individuals over working class families
Strike down or repeal legislation that allows high wealth retirees to avoid property taxes
Repeal flat income tax and restore graduated tax scales
Raise the minimum wage from the 1970 era of $7.00 an hour
Future Workforce
Face the facts! Young Iowans leave the state due to repressive and regressive
legislation
Expand learning opportunities for university bound and career and technical K-12
students
Test and remediate learning deficits by grade 3
Introduce and promote career education by grade 6
Partner with employers and trade unions through junior high and high school
Develop apprenticeship style programs for small ag producers
Stop Fussing and Start Fixing
Stop the D.C. style politics that has no place in Iowa
Hold legislators accountable
No more hateful, hurtful speech from any political party or candidate
